3. Legal Basis for Processing
| Purpose | Legal Basis | Note |
|---|---|---|

| Account creation and login | Contract performance | Necessary to provide the service you signed up for. |

| Marketing cookies | Consent | Only set after you accept via the cookie banner. |
4. How We Use Your Data
- Show your profile to employers who are reviewing your application
- Send email notifications about your application status
- Let companies post and manage job listings
- Improve the platform using aggregated, anonymised analytics
- Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
Driver profiles and application records are kept for 12 months from your last active use. At 11 months we will email you a reminder. If you do not log in or respond, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted at the 12-month mark.
Company account data is retained for the duration of the contract and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Erasure — ask us to delete your account and data ('right to be forgotten')
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV)
- Rectification — correct any inaccurate data we hold
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved
- Object — object to processing based on Legitimate Interest
To exercise any of these rights, email info@logisticworkers.eu with the subject 'GDPR Request'. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
7. Cookies
We use cookies in three categories:
- Strictly Necessary — session and authentication cookies. Always active, no consent required.
- Analytics — track which pages are visited and how long (e.g. anonymised usage stats). Enabled only with your consent.
- Marketing — used to show relevant ads on partner sites. Enabled only with your consent.
You can withdraw or change cookie consent at any time by clicking 'Cookie settings' in the footer.
8. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. Authentication tokens are hashed in the database — a database breach would not expose real tokens. Documents you upload are stored in encrypted cloud storage.
9. Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on login and registration forms (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (Resend Privacy Policy)
- Stripe — payment processing for company subscriptions (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Vercel / Railway — hosting infrastructure (EU data centres)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add new features or when regulations change. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For significant changes we will notify you by email.
